 Canvas Drop Cloths

Firstly you will need a good quality Canvas Drop Cloth, the Heavy Duty ones are the best , as some of the cheaper

ones still let the paint go through!   Please Note: Paint stores do sell cheaper Drop Cloths, a lot of these are because

  they are cheaper!

So you need to make sure they are Heavy Duty! Sequence Drop Cloths are Double Woven.

Trade Ezy Recommends Sequence Canvas Drop Cloths.

  ( DC11 )  ( 9 X 12 ) IS THE STANDARD PAINTERS DROPSHEET.

Plastic Protection Sheets, great for covering furniture, tables, beds etc, tape to cupboards doors, mirror

  roller doors, windows.

These are a cheaper alternative than using Canvas drop sheets.

Most painters put these under canvas drop cloths to protect furniture from paint going through.

  ( Size 2.6m x 3.6 m )

Wooster Mink

Silver Tip

China Bristle

   OIL & WATER BASED PAINTS

If you need a good quality brush, then we recommend the Wooster Mink ,these are premium synthetic brushes ,most

synthetic brushes can be used in both turps based and water based paints.

We stock Wooster Paint Brushes which are a synthetic  Premium Trade painters brush.

    OIL & WATER BASED PAINTS

For DIY or Handyman you might prefer a cheaper brush ,which could be China Bristle or maybe a Synthetic  like the

Wooster silver Tip If buying a synthetic brush, the more expensive the brush the better the quality.

   Cheaper synthetics will swell.

Cheaper synthetics from major department store chains tend to fall apart easily .

If buying any synthetic brush it is recommended not to leave the brush in paint over night. ( Must be washed )

   OIL & WATER BASED PAINTS

If buying a China Bristle Brush , these are a lot cheaper, if used in oil you can leave in a jar of water over night ,fill up

to the top of the bristles, the same for using in water, the only problem you have with bristle brushes are that they leave hairs

,which is OK if your painting walls but not if your painting enamel woodwork,IE; Doors,Windows, Skirting's etc.

Plaster Broad Knifes

Filling Baldes

 7n1 Tool

Broad knifes for plastering, you will  only need one of these if theres a lot of patching  necessary.

Great for skimming large patches on walls & ceilings.

Filling blades are a must have for any home handyman. great for patching small holes in walls, plus skimming woodwork

  with patching fillers.

Also great for taking off loose and flaking paint.

The 7 n 1 is a Tool that every Trade Painter carries on them.

Great for cleaning rollers, opening paint cans, scraping in corners hard to get too, some come with a Hammer head .

The 7n1 is also good for scraping loose and flaky paint.

 Masking Tape

Masking Tape is also a must for all Interior painting,14 Day blue paper means just that , you can leave down for 14 days before

it will pull the old paint off!

great for getting straight lines, covering up door handles, hinges,or even just to hold plastic protection sheets up!

Being low tack, don't need to worry about pulling old paint off or leaving a heavy glue once pulled off.

( If you find it does pull the old paint off, this will be to do with the quality of the work underneath, and maybe water damage.)

 Gap Gun

The Gap Gun is also a must for all painting.

Tidys cracks between skirting's, window and door frames.

The tubes of paint-able sealant come separate.

( The secret for a nice finish is to wipe excess gap filler off with a damp rag, if you keep washing the rag in cold water

you will find the cleaner the rag , the nicer the finish! )

  No More Gaps Tube:

  Roller Handles

standard frames are 270mm, these are fine for all DIY jobs

  Roller Sleeves:

Lambswool sleeve , this sleeve is highly recommended for painting ceilings and walls, in flats or low sheen's,

270mm is the regular size painters use, the only difference is the nap size? ( the thickness of the sheepskin.)

the higher the nap the fluffy-er the sheepskin.

Nap size  small (            )  & nap size (            ) is perfect for walls and ceilings.

bigger nap sizes are for really rough walls like exterior walls.

  easy to clean and reuse.

  very  low splatter.

   Synthetic Roller sleeves,

These are fine to use for ceiling & walls, normally alot cheaper than lambswool roller sleeves , once used are thrown away.

   You cannot  clean these rollers.
